The Candidate

The Candidate is a novel about a moderate conservative, thirty-three year old male, who decides to run for City Council in staunchly liberal Laguna Beach, CA. The story takes us through the candidates decision to run and the opposition and support that he encounters along the way. It is also an eye opening view into Laguna Beach and the characters that inhabit this little piece of heaven (providing you can get past the liberals and through the traffic in summer).
